The Rise of Mobile and Responsive Design


A few years ago a website design of about 1000 pixels in width, with vertical scrolling if necessary, was the most commonly used format. This design style would fill most desktop and laptop screens, and provided adequate space for content. Today there are many Internet users who do not use desktops or laptops at all. They rely solely on their mobile phones to access the web, and some of those have screens only 320 pixels wide.

PRISM and Privacy

Recently details of a top secret Internet-targeting intelligence program were exposed to the public. The program is called PRISM. Apparently PRISM is an arrangement between the US government and large tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook and Yahoo. Under this arrangement the tech companies allow the US government unprecedented access to the private information of their customers.

I am a customer of most of the companies under PRISM. I have invested over $10,000 on their advertising programs. I have spent thousands more on their products. Continue reading
